Biographie
( Disponible en anglais seulement )Alisha Hurley is a Civil Litigator, and Partner in the Edmonton office of Miller Thomson. Alisha has a broad corporate commercial litigation practice which includes construction disputes, product liability claims, and employment disputes in the area of alleged breaches of fiduciary and other post-employment duties by departing employees. A significant portion of Alisha’s practice is devoted to shareholder disputes, particularly between shareholders of closely held corporations and family businesses. Alisha uses knowledge she has gained through her personal experience with family businesses and from obtaining her MBA to assist clients in resolving difficult shareholder disputes.
Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Alisha worked at another national firm in their litigation department and developed experience in the area of professional negligence defence. While completing her Masters in Business Administration degree, Alisha worked as a student researcher at the University of Alberta’s Centre for Professional Service Firm Management. She is currently a member of the firm’s Alberta Construction & Transportation Specialty Group. Alisha has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta.
