Michael Shell is a Partner and the Litigation Group Co-chair for the firm's Toronto and Markham offices.  His practice focuses on commercial litigation, encompassing construction related claims and liens, franchise litigation, product liability litigation as well as employment law, general contractual disputes, partnership and corporate litigation, shareholder disputes, insolvency, receivership and trust actions.  Michael has also been involved in bringing and responding to numerous injunctions and seeking the return of chattels.

Acting for clients in a wide range of industries, Michael has special expertise in the construction industry. He handles a variety of significant and complex litigation advancing claims and protecting the interests of clients.

Michael is the principal instructor for the Construction Law Course offered by the Toronto Construction Association, which he designed and prepared.

Highly respectful of the wishes and goals of clients, Michael is dedicated to providing practical approaches and solutions to respond to each client’s unique requirements.
