On May 24, 2023, ConTrac Equipment Ltd. has announced it has acquired the Camrose, Alberta-based Prairie Water & Equipment Sales Inc. Prairie Water will operate as a new division of ConTrac Equipment, providing land and environmental remediation and reclamation equipment rentals.
The acquisition includes about 400 machines that will be added to ConTrac’s existing fleet of more than 250 machines comprised of excavators, dozers, articulated trucks, graders and wheel loaders.
Based in Spruce Grove, Alberta, ConTrac Equipment was founded in 1999. Today, the company supplies machines to the pipeline, homebuilding, land development, roadbuilding and utilities sectors across Western Canada.
