On February 1, 2021, Heniff Transportation Systems, LLC (“Heniff”) closed its acquisition of Premier Bulk Systems (“Premier”), an Ontario-based bulk motor carrier that specializes in the transportation of various chemical and non-chemical commodities, and provides LTL and truckload logistics services throughout North America. The transaction will give Heniff an entry into the cross-border Canadian market, while giving Premier customers access to Heniff’s broad, integrated operating network in the U.S.
Based in Oak Brook IL, Heniff operates one of the largest asset-based liquid bulk networks in North America, with over 1,800 drivers and 5,000 trailers, more than 100 terminals, 30 rail transload sites, 50 maintenance locations, and 15 depots supporting customers in both the liquid chemical, and food grade markets.
Premier was founded in 2001 and operates 70 trucks,120 tank trailers, and a state-of-the-art terminal and maintenance facility in Gormley, ON.
