On February 22, 2021, SomaDetect Inc. (“SomaDetect”), a Canadian agricultural technology company specializing in machine learning and artificial intelligence within the dairy industry, announced the completion of its Series A financing, raising a total of US$4.52 million in investments. The financing was led by Ag Capital Canada Limited Partnership (“ACC”).
ACC is a private equity fund, based in Tillsonburg, Ontario, that invests in Canadian ag and food innovation and small business growth. ACC aims to discover, develop and nurture Canadian agricultural businesses through capital investment, business-management mentorship and entrepreneurial expertise.
