Hi-Rise Capital Ltd.

By Order of Justice Hainey dated March 21, 2019,  Miller Thomson LLP (“Representative Counsel”) was appointed to represent all individuals and/or entities (“Investors”) that held an interest in a syndicated mortgage (“SMI”), administered by Hi-Rise Capital Ltd. (“Hi-Rise”), in respect of the property municipally known as 263 Adelaide Street West, Toronto, Ontario (the “Property”).

Representative Counsel discharged its duties in accordance with the Court Orders issued in this proceeding, including distributing the Final Distribution to Investors in accordance with the Order of Justice McEwen dated April 28, 2022 (the “Final Distribution Approval Order”). All Court Orders issued in this proceeding, including the Final Distribution Approval Order, can be found under the “Documents” section of this website.

As such, and in accordance with the Final Distribution Approval Order, on April 11, 2023 Representative Counsel filed its Discharge Certificate with the Court and obtained its discharge as Representative Counsel in this proceeding. This means that Representative Counsel no longer represents Investors, and this proceeding has now concluded.
