Miller Thomson joins the rest of Canada in mourning the loss of the Right Honourable John N. Turner, a great Canadian and, until his retirement from the firm in 2013, our esteemed partner and colleague of 23 years. After leaving a distinguished career in Canadian politics that culminated in his becoming the country’s 17th prime minister, John returned to legal practice in 1990 with Miller Thomson. We remain grateful to this day for the significant role that John so centrally played in enhancing our firm’s image, stature, and client base. He will be long remembered for his sharp intellect, and especially fondly for his personal and professional generosity and willingness to mentor and elevate all around him. Our deepest condolences go out to John’s devoted wife Geills, children Elizabeth, David, Michael, and Andrew, and their families.
