Miller Thomson proudly congratulates Jill Wilkie who has been selected one of 2020’s Lexpert Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40.
Every year, Lexpert celebrates the leading young lawyers across Canada with the Rising Stars Award. These individuals exhibit exemplary leadership, service and innovative contributions to their firm, organization or department, as well as to the legal profession and their community at large.
A partner in the Labour & Employment Group, and the head of the Labour and Employment and Health Law Groups in Alberta, Jill’s practice focuses on management side labour, employment, human rights, administrative, privacy and occupational health and safety law. Jill sits on the Firm’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee and actively addresses the issue firm-wide. She has also been invaluable in assisting nationally and locally with the firm’s pandemic response, and providing employment law advice to the Executive Committee. She consistently demonstrates to clients her appreciation for the nuances that impact their business, and has recognized the business challenges in dealing with the complex issues that present as Canada’s workplace continues to become more diverse and dynamic.
