David brings a wealth of experience in corporate and real estate law, supporting businesses and individuals across industries including construction, manufacturing, health, software, retail, and the service sector. Within the Waterloo Region, he also advises not-for-profits, religious institutions and charities on governance and structural matters. He frequently represents clients buying and selling office buildings and manufacturing plants and other developed rental commercial property, across Ontario.
A trusted advisor in corporate law, David guides clients through all stages of business growth and development, from tax structuring and financial planning to establishing new ownership relationships including shareholder, partnership, joint venture agreements and other operational arrangements such as licensing and lease agreements. As a registered trade-mark agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, David prepares and registers trade-marks in Canada and internationally, offering clear guidance on validity and infringement of trademarks.
In addition to corporate law, David advises on estate planning and administration, helping individuals with will planning, powers of attorney and trust planning in order to achieve their objectives while incorporating appropriate tax minimization strategies.
