Overview
Eric Schneider practises corporate, commercial, and expropriation law and is a partner in the Waterloo office of Miller Thomson. He is involved in negotiations, agreements, actions, and transactions in various areas of corporate and commercial law including mergers and acquisitions, financing, private equity, agribusiness, and shareholders’ agreements.
After his call to the bar, Eric spent seven years in private practice in Toronto. He then served as in-house counsel to businesses based in Gothenburg, Sweden and Kitchener, Ontario before joining Miller Thomson.
Eric advises clients in the following areas:
Acquisitions and divestitures: acting for both buyers and sellers of corporations, businesses, and assets.
Agribusiness: representing clients in the pork, poultry, beef, and dairy sectors.
Corporate and commercial law: including startups, reorganizations, co-manufacturing, supply, licensing, and other commercial contracts.
Expropriations: representing owners who have experienced business losses, injurious affection, or loss of market value as a result of the exercise of statutory authority.
