Overview
Hillary Linden, TEP, is a lawyer specializing in estate law and a member of the firm’s Private Client Services group. She focuses on complex estate planning and administration matters. Hillary’s work in these areas includes:
Estate Planning:
- Preparing estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney for property, powers for attorney for personal care (Ontario) and representation agreements (British Columbia);
- Providing tax advice pertaining to trusts and their beneficiaries;
- Incapacity planning;
- Probate fee planning;
- Multijurisdictional estate planning; and
- Planning for beneficiaries with disabilities.
Estate Administration:
- Advising personal representatives regarding the proper administration of a trust or estate;
- Preparing applications for probate and applications to reseal foreign grants of probate or to obtain an ancillary grant; and
- Providing tax advice pertaining to trusts and their beneficiaries.
Hillary’s membership in the firm’s Private Client Services group and continuous involvement in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners ensures that her service is up to date and reflective of best practices. She is licensed to practice law in both Ontario and British Columbia.
