Overview
Isabelle Côté is a driven articling student determined to make a difference in the legal community. Isabelle’s solid and diverse academic experience rests on a Bachelor of Commerce with an Entrepreneurship concentration at the Desautels Faculty of Management and a BCL/JD at the Faculty of Law, both at McGill University.
She complemented her studies with an internship at the Tribunal administratif du Québec, where she honed her administrative law skills. Concurrently, she volunteered at the Montréal-Nord legal information clinic and represented her Faculty at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. This practical experience enabled her to develop valuable legal research, negotiation, drafting and oral advocacy skills.
Outside of her legal pursuits, she was actively involved in various organizations. She sat on the board of the McGill Tribute and helped make decisions and resolve conflicts within the organization. She also served as lead advisor at the Soutar Career Centre, where she helped other students search for jobs and internships. Isabelle contributed to promoting equity in governance by sitting on McGill University’s Joint Board-Senate Committee on Equity. She also worked the Montreal Sexual Assault Centre helpline, supporting and referring victims of abuse.
Isabelle has a solid work ethic and deep-rooted commitment to making a difference in her society. Engagement, equity and dedication are values that strongly resonate with her. Her legal know-how and community involvement have made her a versatile and inspiring professional who takes on even the greatest challenges with enthusiasm and determination.
Isabelle is fluent in English and French, and knows basic Spanish . In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, going on mountain hikes with her daughter, and cycle touring with family.
