Overview

Karina is a current J.D. Candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, Karina obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Creative Industries from Toronto Metropolitan University.

Her academic journey is complemented by a robust participation in leadership and advocacy roles within the law school community. Karina was recently appointed Vice Chair of Osgoode’s Student Caucus of the Faculty Council for the 2024-2025 academic year, reflecting her commitment to student governance and educational quality. Additionally, she serves as Co-President of both the Osgoode chapter of the Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights (CLAIHR-O) and the Middle Eastern Law Student Association (MELSA), where she spearheads initiatives to foster an inclusive community and promote awareness of international human rights issues.

Karina’s commitment to legal scholarship is evident in her role as a Research Assistant where she undertook rigorous research projects that have significantly impacted the academic and legal community. In addition to her research responsibilities, Karina was actively involved in Osgoode’s competitive Anti-Discrimination Intensive Program (ADIP). Karina has also showcased her advocacy skills in various moot court competitions.

In her spare time, Karina enjoys creating life-sized sculptures, playing soccer and volleyball, and completing the occasional word search. Karina also continuously provides support for incoming first-generation law students, and first-year students.
