Overview
Louis-Philippe Borduas’ corporate and business law practice focuses specifically on mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, and corporate and venture capital financing. Louis-Philippe acts as senior legal counsel for Miller Thomson, advising clients on all aspects of business transactions, from mergers and acquisitions to financing. Louis-Philippe is frequently called upon to advise both buyers and sellers.
Over his career, Louis-Philippe has been involved in a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions in a wide range of sectors (from technology and video games to more traditional industries). This experience has helped him develop a keen business sense. This allows him to handle complex transactions and mandates, and to present sophisticated and pragmatic legal and commercial advice and solutions tailored to his clients’ needs and realities.
While completing his Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Louis-Philippe completed an internship in an engineering consulting firm, where he worked closely with the finance and administration departments. He also interned with the internal audit group of a major player in the Quebec aircraft industry. This work experience gave him the opportunity to put his knowledge of business administration to good use, while honing his corporate knowledge and expertise, particularly in the field of risk management.
