Biography description

Mark Kok (pronounced “Coke”) has a robust practice focused on real property and land development law as well as condominium lien and mortgage enforcement work. He works out of the London office of Miller Thomson LLP.

Mark has been representing land developers in Southwestern Ontario since 2007. He assists clients through every stage of condominium and subdivision development, from acquisition to sales. Mark is known for his attention to detail and concise approach, simplifying complex processes to save time and increase efficiency. His experience covers both residential and commercial projects, including all forms of condominium registrations and conversions.

In his condominium lien practice, Mark acts for condominium corporations across the province and is committed to combining protecting his clients’ interests with fair treatment of condominium owners. The enforcement aspects of this practice has led to him developing a related practice in mortgage enforcement. Mark’s clientele includes a number of private lenders who are navigating very challenging times in this industry.

Mark’s journey includes eight years as a police officer before delving into the practice of law, resulting in a unique blend of experience and skill. He started his legal career at mid-sized firms in Kitchener, Ontario, before co-founding Clifton Kok LLP in 2007. Mark is a proud and active member of the Law Society of Ontario, the St. Thomas More Lawyers’ Guild, the London Homebuilders’ Association, and the London chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI).
