Overview
Michael Arbutina has practiced for over 15 years primarily in the areas of commercial and construction litigation, including construction liens, shareholder disputes, real estate/lease enforcement, debt collection, breach of contract claims and class action defence.
Michael is viewed by his clients as a trusted advisor and they call upon him for general advice with respect to all aspects of their business. Michael’s clients rely on him for his candid and pragmatic legal advice and solutions. Michael’s clients know that they can call upon him to deal with time sensitive issues like lien registrations, emergency motions or injunctions.
Michael acts for corporations, shareholders, and individuals, including builders, construction contractors, financial investment companies, landlords, tenants and condominium corporations.
Michael represents clients at all levels of Court in Ontario, and is experienced in dealing with quasi-criminal proceedings, regulatory matters and related offences.
Michael received his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 2001. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. After completing law school, he articled at a leading criminal law firm in Toronto before developing his practice in the areas of commercial and construction litigation.
