Overview

Mona is a current J.D. Candidate at Western University, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Mona obtained her Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

During law school, Mona worked as a Research Assistant on the “Hate Crimes Project” in collaboration with the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, developing an online tool to identify whether a crime may be motivated by hate, bias or prejudice.

During her undergrad, Mona worked as a Global Treasury Analyst at International Justice Mission, the largest anti-trafficking organization in the world, where she worked with financial directors from around the world to implement safer global banking practices. Mona also spent three months living in Tijuana, Mexico working for a non-profit organization building houses for families in need.

In her spare time, Mona enjoys travelling, finding new restaurants to try out in Toronto, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
