Overview

Monica’s practice focuses on insolvency and restructuring matters, including BIA and CCAA proceedings, creditor-debtor disputes, enforcement of creditors’ rights and security, and informal restructurings.

She has experience working with a wide-range of stakeholders in insolvency proceedings, including corporate debtors, secured lenders, receivers, representative counsel, inspectors, trustees, and court-appointed monitors.

Monica attended law school at Western Law, where she received numerous academic awards, including the Insolvency Institute of Canada (IIC) award in Insolvency Studies and the Catalyst Capital Scholarship in Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Restructuring Law.

Prior to law school, Monica obtained a BBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
