Portrait of Nicolas Kingsbury-Fournier

Overview

After completing his second year as a University of Ottawa law student, Nicolas was named to the Dean’s Honour List for his outstanding academic achievement.

He has been a student-athlete  throughout his academic career, playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and, since enrolling in the licentiate in civil law program, with the University of Ottawa hockey team, the Gee-Gees. Nicolas has successfully combined elite team sport and full-time studies, thereby developing and refining invaluable skills and attitudes. He is thus poised to make a well-rounded contribution to Miller Thomson’s dynamic team.

During his studies, he actively participated in student life, particularly as Vice-President, Research and Development and now President of the University of Ottawa Real Estate Law Association, which aims to explore real estate law and make it accessible to the Faculty’s student body.

Prior to joining Miller Thomson, he held a student position with a Montreal firm specializing in various types of litigation, in which he sharpened his problem-solving and research skills with a view to obtaining the best settlements for clients.

In his spare time, Nicolas enjoys working out, listening to music and spending quality time with family and friends.
