Safa Bajwa

During her time at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, where she pursued her Juris Doctor, Safa was involved in a variety of legal work. In her first year of law school, Safa volunteered for the Toronto Community Benefits Network where she helped research key elements for developing a social procurement toolkit, focused on fostering economic inclusion in the Toronto community. Safa also volunteered as a legal researcher for the law school’s International Human Rights Program where she wrote journal article annotations for the Women’s Human Rights Resources Database. In the summer after her first year, Safa worked as a research assistant for an employment and labour law professor and volunteered at a Toronto based law firm where she took part in a COVID-19 initiative to provide frontline healthcare workers with free wills and Power of Attorney documents. In her second year of law school, Safa was selected for an externship at Silent Voice Canada, a not-for-profit dedicated to providing community support to deaf Canadians, where she worked with the board of directors to address legal governance issues. During the summer following her second year, Safa worked as a summer student at Miller Thomson where she completed a variety of transactional legal work. During Safa’s last year of law school, she volunteered as the Chair of the Animal Justice Law Society and hosted an annual meeting with Animal Justice Canada.

Upon graduating law school, Safa returned to complete her articling term at Miller Thomson. During articling, Safa gained valuable experience in corporate finance. Safa’s academic and professional foundation allow her to offer a versatile skill-set to clients.
