Aperçu

Abby is currently a J.D. candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Abby obtained her Bachelor of Science from McMaster University.

An enthusiastic member of the law school community, Abby is a co-chair for the South Asian Law Students’ Association at UofT and is an incoming co-editor-in-chief for Ultra Vires, the independent student newspaper at the faculty. Abby has also been involved with UofT’s Future of Law Lab where, in 1L, she participated in a research project focused on access to justice and digitization efforts Downtown Legal Services, and in 2L, led a working group on the impact of artificial intelligence on client-service delivery within the legal sector. Abby recently also completed an externship at a full-service firm—focusing on emerging technology and venture capital.

In her 1L summer, Abby served as a law connector at the Entrepreneurship Hatchery, where she worked with start-ups in the aerospace, alternative fuel, and machine learning sectors. During this time, she also completed a labour market research project with the Ministry of Health.

In her spare time, Abby enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants.
