Aperçu

Fawad is completing his law degree at the University of Calgary. Prior to law school, Fawad earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with distinction from the University of Alberta.

During his undergrad studies, Fawad acquired knowledge of key chemical engineering principles and developed a robust research background. Fawad’s research contributions culminated in him publishing a paper in the multidisciplinary journal called Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology.

Fawad’s hard work over the course of his engineering studies and his keen understanding of scientific principles earned him over a dozen scholarships and awards including: The Alexander Archibald M. Patton Memorial Scholarship, the Cenovus Energy Chemical Engineering Scholarship, and The DB Robinson Prize in Thermodynamics. He was also awarded a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council undergraduate grant twice in recognition of his research contributions. Furthermore, Fawad’s engineering and research background was recognized by the University of Calgary Faculty of Law by awarding him with the first ever offering of the Harold W. Lemieux Memorial Law Scholarship.

While completing his undergrad degree, Fawad partook in various mentoring initiatives. He tutored and shared his experience and understanding of the engineering career path with high school students. Additionally, he also helped junior engineering students by helping them transition from high school to the engineering program.

In his first year of law school, Fawad joined Pro Bono Students Canada and participated in the Elementary School Mock Trial project where he helped host mock trials to introduce students to the legal profession.

In his spare time, Fawad enjoys travelling, reading novels, playing video games, and running.
