Howard’s practice focuses on estate litigation and in-person and online mediation and arbitration of estates disputes with extensive experience in all aspects of family estate planning and administration. In addition, Howard provides estate planning advice to middle and high net-worth individuals, including offering counsel on wills, powers of attorney, tax planning and other related areas. Howard’s vast experience in all aspects of wills and estates law comes from his 40 years in practice exclusively in these areas of the law. Howard also serves as an adjunct professor in Wills and estate litigation courses at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto for over 30 years and is the author of a popular text on the subject of wills and estates. Howard’s clients value his adeptness at simplifying complex matters and deftly handling challenging scenarios, praising his integrity, deep wisdom, and innovative problem-solving skills.

Howard is a past chair of the Trusts & Estates section of the Ontario Bar Association and has always been involved in a variety of charitable and community organizations.

Howard is passionate about the law and about giving back to the legal community. He is a regular speaker and contributor to legal education programs sponsored by the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association. He is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and the author of a welcome text on wills and estates. Howard has earned many teaching awards, as well as being the recipient of the Award of Excellence in Trusts & Estates law by the Ontario Bar Association.
