Madeleine Dusseault is a commercial litigator, and regularly achieves positive and cost-effective results for her clients. Madeleine has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (including the Commercial List), the Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and in private arbitrations. Her areas of focus include commercial contract disputes, fraud claims, debt recovery, real estate litigation, shareholder disputes, defamation and professional liability. She also has considerable experience with prosecuting and defending matters involving injunctive relief. Madeleine prioritizes her clients’ legal and business needs, and is committed to working with clients to find practical, creative and cost-effective solutions to meet their goals.
Madeleine is a mentor to summer and articling students who aspire to practice in litigation, and is a member of the firm’s student recruitment committee. She maintains active memberships in the Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
Madeleine honed her legal skills at Miller Thomson as a summer and articling student, and then joined the firm as an associate. During her time at law school, Madeleine worked with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association as a Donner Civic Leadership Fund Fellow, and volunteered at the Toronto Small Claims Court as a student clerk.
