Mahnoor Khalid

Mahnoor is pursuing her Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary.

Before her journey into law, Mahnoor completed a Bachelor of Education, specializing in Elementary English, from the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary. After undergrad, Mahnoor taught grade three at an elementary school in Calgary. Mahnoor found teaching to be a rewarding and special experience that enhanced her interpersonal skills.

Mahnoor also has an extensive record of volunteer work. As the Grant Committee Team Lead for the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization, Mahnoor collaborated with universities to support and fund female entrepreneurs. Additionally, as the Director of Events for the Pakistani Students’ Society at the University of Calgary, she organized key cultural events and was able to stay connected to her Pakistani heritage.

In law school, Mahnoor is actively involved in various associations and initiatives. Her work with Pro Bono Students Canada and as a Case Worker for Student Legal Assistance has allowed her to gain practical legal skills while providing valuable community services. She contributes as a Content Creator for the Technology and Law Association and is an executive for the Faculty of Law’s Muslim Law Students Association.

Mahnoor is an avid traveler and has visited nine countries in the last year. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, she enjoys watching cricket and having her nose buried in historical fiction and mystery novels.
