Patrick Corney is a Partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency group at Miller Thomson LLP. Pat advises and acts for a wide range of clients regarding financial restructuring and insolvency matters, including restructurings and related court hearings under Canada’s insolvency and corporate statutes; debtor-in-possession financings; prepackaged restructuring transactions; sale processes, auctions, and related transactions; claims processes and related mediation and arbitration; forbearance agreements; and security enforcement and receiverships. Pat has significant experience in Canadian and cross-border corporate insolvency matters, including in some of the largest and most complex restructurings in Canada. Pat has worked with clients from diverse industries, including steel, technology, retail, cannabis, and energy.
Pat began his legal career as a summer student at a Seven Sisters firm and practiced there for six years. Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Pat was a partner at a Toronto-based restructuring and insolvency boutique.

- Morrison Laurier Mortgage Corporation (Re): Counsel to the court-appointed liquidator, and marketing and mortgage agent, of Morrison Laurier Mortgage Corporation (a mortgage investment company).
