Aperçu

Taylor Lanthier is a member of Miller Thomson’s Advocacy Group, focusing on commercial issues, environmental and Indigenous law, and other litigation matters. She maintains a broad litigation practice. Taylor has appeared before the British Columbia Provincial and Supreme Courts.

During her time as an articling student, Taylor gained valuable insight into drafting legal documents, conducting legal research and developing her litigation practice. Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Taylor was a summer student in 2021 at a criminal defence firm, where she gained valuable advocacy experience. Taylor joined Miller Thomson as a summer student in 2022 and concluded her articles with the firm in 2024. Taylor obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law (“Allard Law”) with a specialization in Indigenous Legal Studies and she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Criminology with distinction from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (“KPU”), where she was the Valediction for the 2020 Convocation Ceremony.

During law school, Taylor was an active member of the community. At Allard Law, Taylor was involved as the Secretary for the Indigenous Law Students’ Association, a Student Ambassador and Legal Buddy, a first-year mentor to Indigenous law students, and a Student Clinician and Clinic Head at the Marpole Clinic with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program. Taylor also completed a semester as a Judicial Intern at Vancouver Provincial Court where she worked alongside Provincial Court Judges in a clerkship-like capacity and had the opportunity to attend and assist with Circuit Court in two rural Northern BC Communities. Prior to law school, Taylor was an Elected Student Representative on KPU’s Board of Governors and Board Governance Committee and she also volunteered at Burnaby Youth Custody Services.

Outside of the office, Taylor plays women’s competitive fastpitch with her positions being back catcher and third base. She also enjoys reading and actively attends spin and pilates classes.
